« Emilia Perez » Score Wins Cannes Award

Velvetica is very proud to be working with Page 114 and Pigalle on the original score for Emilia Perez, the success of Cannes Film Festival!

Jacques Audiard’s musical won a joint Best Actress Prize and Jury Prize.
The music composed by Camille and Clément Ducol also won the Cannes Soundtrack award.  Congratulations to the whole cast and crew!

The story is about a lawyer who helps a Mexican cartel boss escape his life and become the woman he has always dreamt of being.

YADAMS’s emotion (with its tag #CryingInSpanish), Anglo-Saxon minimalist electro aesthetic (Ry X, James Blake, FKA Twigs) and its dose of more danceable, sensual rhythms (Rosalía, Kali Uchis, Yendry…), all of these elements make BELAMOR an exciting debut LP, for an artist that is set to make it big in 2023 according to Rolling Stone Magazine.
